DW REPORT: MISSING BELARUSIAN SPORTS OFFICIAL IN TURKEY
Concerns are mounting over the disappearance of Anatol Kotau, a member of the Athletes for Freedom Foundation, former secretary general of the Belarusian Olympic Committee, and a founding member of the Belarusian Sport Solidarity Foundation.
Kotau, a well-known defender of athletes’ rights and outspoken critic of the Lukashenko regime, went missing in Istanbul on August 21. His colleagues fear abduction, pointing to the risks faced by Belarusian dissidents abroad.
