We invite you to be a part of Grandmaster Vladislav Kovalev’s journey to the European Individual Chess Championship 2024, held in Petrovac, Montenegro, from November 7th to 20th. Currently, Vladislav is preparing intensively, sparring with top players. His goal is to qualify for the prestigious World Chess Cup, a knockout tournament in which he competed back in 2021.

Challenge
Vladislav, a former Belarusian Chess Champion and Grandmaster, made the courageous decision to resign from the national chess federation due to his stance against the oppressive regime in Belarus. He lives in exile in Georgia.

Now, as a FIDE athlete, he faces financial challenges in pursuing his chess career. Without federation support, he needs to cover the costs for the upcoming European Championship himself. To make this happen, Vladislav needs $2000 to cover all necessary expenses, including travel, accommodation, meals, and tournament fees.
