Metallica’s charity, All Within My Hands (AWMH), has donated $100,000 to aid relief efforts following the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene. The hurricane struck on Thursday, September 26, affecting communities across a 500-mile stretch in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee. With over 215 confirmed deaths and many still missing, it has become the third-deadliest storm in the U.S. this century. Severe flooding and record water levels have left roads impassable, slowing down rescue efforts.

AWMH has contributed $50,000 each to two organizations: World Central Kitchen (WCK) and Team Rubicon. WCK is providing essential food and clean water to hard-to-reach areas, utilizing helicopters, airboats, and partnerships with food trucks and restaurants to deliver thousands of hot meals. Meanwhile, Team Rubicon has deployed over 140 volunteers, known as Greyshirts, who are clearing debris and aiding recovery in more than 35 communities across the affected states. So far, they have removed debris equivalent to over 400 dump trucks.
