METALLICA DONATES $500,000 TO LA FIRE RELIEF

The dev­as­tat­ing wild­fires in Los Ange­les since Jan­u­ary 7 have claimed 24 lives, dis­placed near­ly 100,000 res­i­dents, and destroyed over 40,000 acres and 12,000 struc­tures. As San­ta Ana winds threat­en to wors­en con­di­tions, relief efforts are in full swing. Metal­li­ca, through their All With­in My Hands foun­da­tion, has pledged $500,000 to sup­port recov­ery. The funds will be direct­ed to the Cal­i­for­nia Com­mu­ni­ty Foundation’s Wild­fire Recov­ery Fund and the Pasade­na Com­mu­ni­ty Foundation’s Eaton Canyon Fire Relief and Recov­ery Fund, both focus­ing on imme­di­ate aid and long-term rebuild­ing, with an empha­sis on sup­port­ing the most vul­ner­a­ble com­mu­ni­ties.
