OFFICIAL STATEMENT: ATHLETES FOR FREEDOM STANDS WITH CENTRAL EUROPE

To Our Com­mu­ni­ty and Sup­port­ers,

We at Ath­letes for Free­dom are deeply sad­dened by the dev­as­tat­ing impact of Storm Boris, which has wreaked hav­oc across Cen­tral Europe, affect­ing count­less lives in Aus­tria, Hun­gary, Roma­nia, Czechia, Slo­va­kia, and Poland. The destruc­tion left in the wake of this nat­ur­al dis­as­ter is unimag­in­able, with many fam­i­lies los­ing their homes and liveli­hoods.

As an orga­ni­za­tion com­mit­ted to free­dom, sol­i­dar­i­ty, and human dig­ni­ty, we feel a pro­found respon­si­bil­i­ty to sup­port those who are suf­fer­ing. We are par­tic­u­lar­ly moved by the plight of the Wrocław com­mu­ni­ty and sur­round­ing areas, which have been hit espe­cial­ly hard. These are regions that have shown incred­i­ble strength and resilience, and now it is our turn to help them rebuild.

In response to this cri­sis, Ath­letes for Free­dom is prepar­ing to launch a fundrais­ing cam­paign to pro­vide essen­tial relief to the affect­ed com­mu­ni­ties. Details of this ini­tia­tive will fol­low very soon. We invite all of our sup­port­ers and part­ners to join us in this effort when the cam­paign is offi­cial­ly launched. Every con­tri­bu­tion will go direct­ly to those in need, help­ing to pro­vide food, shel­ter, med­ical care, and the resources nec­es­sary to begin the process of rebuild­ing.

In times of cri­sis, it is our shared human­i­ty that brings us togeth­er. Let us stand with the peo­ple of Cen­tral Europe, show­ing them that they are not alone in this dif­fi­cult time.
